About Me
"I believe rehabilitation is not a one-size-fits-all approach. To ensure optimal health and recovery, I provide comprehensive health and wellness solutions tailored to your unique needs."
What do biokineticist do?
Biokinetics is a profession that offers specialised final-phase exercise rehabilitation through scientifically based physical activity program prescription for people with orthopaedic injuries, sports injuries and chronic diseases such as Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus and Metabolic Syndrome.
What to expect?
Before starting your exercise sessions, we first need to book you for an initial consultation that will include an evaluation to establish a baseline and determine what steps need to be taken to provide effective treatment. Following that, we will schedule follow-up sessions. The number of follow-up sessions will depend on the package that best suits your needs.
A session is 45-60min.
If required we can do 30min sessions only
due to chronic conditions and rehabilitation purposes, therafter we can
schedule longer sessions as needed.
Meet your biokineticist, Saskia Nieuwenhuis

In 2023, I earned a BHsc (Hons) in Biokinetics with distinction from Wits University, as well as Sport Science qualifications from Tshwane University of Technology.
After finishing my studies, I worked as an intern, where I evaluated clinical orthopaedic and chronic conditions and provided exercise therapy to patients.
After completing my internship, I opened my practice at CrossFit Taniwha where I’m also a level 2 certified coach. I am very passionate about assisting people in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life through exercise.
